Datavault → Business Thinking
We’ve evolved, and so has what you get from us.
Over the last few years, we’ve gone from a specialist Data Vault consultancy to a company that ships automation software, teaches teams at scale, and runs a global community of data professionals. Today we’re putting that growth front and center.
Datavault is now Business Thinking.
This change reflects what we already do for clients: help them deliver results with data. Faster, with less waste, and with more confidence.
Why the rebrand
We started with one focus: delivering Data Vault. Along the way we:
Built automation tools that remove repetitive work.
Launched training to upskill teams.
Grew a thriving community where practitioners help each other succeed.
Clients were already coming to us for more than consultancy. The name had to catch up with reality.
Business Thinking speaks to outcomes.
It’s about the decisions, processes, and systems that move a business forward, with Data Vault as one of the ways to get there, not the only way.
What’s changing today
Brand name: Datavault → Business Thinking.
Brand architecture: clear divisions for Consultancy, Products, Training, and Community (details below).
Website: moving from data-vault.com to business-thinking.com with redirects so old links still get you to the right place.
Look and feel: new visual identity across web, slides, docs, and training.
What’s not changing
Same people. You’ll work with the same practitioners and instructors.
Same standards. Practical, no‑nonsense delivery. Plain language. Measurable results.
Same commitments. Existing scopes of work, training dates, and support arrangements continue as planned. If anything needs your input, we’ll contact you directly.
The new structure at a glance
We’ve organized everything we do into four pillars. Each has a clear purpose and its own way to help you move faster.
1) Datavault — your delivery partner
Certified experts with 25+ years of combined experience designing and delivering modern analytics platforms.
Where we help most:
Roadmaps that cut through noise and set a workable path.
Blueprints that balance governance with delivery speed.
Hands‑on build and mentorship for your team.
Migration and modernization projects that need to de‑risk timelines.
Outcome: reduce rework, shorten time to value, and get a platform your teams can actually use.
2) DataLabs — your automation toolkit
Products that remove repetitive plumbing so engineers spend time on the parts that matter. Trusted by thousands of professionals to save days of manual coding and accelerate delivery.
Highlights:
Proven templates and generators for common patterns (including Data Vault workflows).
Build‑once, reuse‑everywhere components that standardize quality.
Compatible with the way you already work; no big‑bang replacement.
If you’ve used AutomateDV, that now sits under DataLabs.
3) DataLearn — your training platform
On‑demand and live training to level‑up teams at every stage of the data journey.
What’s inside:
Free primers and practical guides.
Structured courses with labs and real‑world exercises.
Team paths, certifications, and private cohorts for organisations.
4) Data Vault User Group — your community
A global network of practitioners helping each other solve real problems.
4,000+ members and growing.
Monthly virtual meetups with industry‑leading speakers.
Active Q&A forum.
A catalog of 80+ downloadable resources.
Join to ask questions, share lessons, and stay sharp.
What this means for you (and your team)
For leaders: you get a single partner across strategy, delivery, and capability‑building. Less coordination overhead. Clear ownership. Faster progress.
For data teams: you get practical playbooks, automation that removes low‑value work, and training that matches how you build.
For the community: you get a bigger tent. We’ll keep covering Data Vault, and we’ll add more on data engineering, analytics engineering, governance, and AI‑powered delivery.
