Joe
Time at Datavault: 1½ years
After graduating from university during the pandemic lockdown and spending time out of work, I was worried I’d lack the ability to progress in the tech sector, let alone consulting. Datavault gave me that chance I needed and have since managed fantastic professional growth. The company allowed me to utilise all those skills learnt in my degree, develop many new skills, and nurtured my learning in areas that wasn’t even aware existed before joining. Even though I joined as a data engineer, I’ve been supported in exploring different roles beyond that.
The company culture is very friendly and the move from being totally remote to a more hybrid work arrangement has been made easy. I enjoy the interactions I have with my colleagues who keep me motivated and full of interest in all the different facets of the business.

Time at Datavault: 6 Months
This was my first job after graduating from university and I am glad that I have started my career in a new industry here. The company has a great culture and a close-knit diverse team that work well together and the people who already worked here were very kind and welcoming.
The training provided has been invaluable in building on the existing knowledge I gained at university and I am able to apply concepts learned in a proper industrial and professional manner.

Time at Datavault: 2 Months
Having completed my master’s dissertation at Datavault already, I knew I was joining a company with a culture of support and such lovely colleagues. I did not have a background in computer science, but I soon found out a large proportion of Datavault had studied Physics, like I did.
I had such a range of experiences picked up so many skills in my first few weeks alone. The combination of larger and smaller teams, different roles involved within each project and ability to try new things have made this such an interesting position. The contrast between learning by the book at university and learning by doing here has made me more excited to pick up new skills and continue to develop within this role. I feel that for any issue I could come across in my work, there is always someone who could signpost me towards a solution whilst also allowing me to find the exact answer myself.
As you can see from our staff quotes, Datavault really is a great place to start your career!
We are a fast-growing company and are always looking for new team members to join us – we are now recruiting our first apprentice students – if you think this is the right place for you please contact us.
